Are you a Brava Woman? Confident. Supported. Comfortable. These three little words can have a big, long lasting impact on how you live (and breathe). As fuller-busted women ourselves, we know this only too well and that's why we do what we do... encourage other women to embrace their shape, and introduce them to lingerie and swimwear that they only ever dreamed they'd wear.
Over the past 12 years, we've fitted 1000s of women, at all stages of life, into supportive lingerie and swimwear. We've spent hundreds of hours chatting, fitting, laughing with, consoling, listening to and educating on bra fit. And it's the many wonderful conversations we've had with these women along the way that have inspired us to continue to bring you the best of our bra fitting knowledge, lingerie trends, bra reviews and dispel some bra fitting myths.
The Brava way¦ is different. It's a big call - we know! We fit according to your own personal level of comfort and we understand that this varies from woman to woman. Tape measures are for builders, not for bra fitters. They produce inaccurate information and most brands have a different fitting format that is in conflict with the tape measure. Our fitters listen to the needs of individual women, and use their thorough product knowledge to work with the customer's shape to find the very best outcome.
Changes over the years¦ We're thrilled to see more manufacturers producing bigger cups, recognising the need for smaller back sizes too. We've loved introducing women to longline bras that make you feel beautiful, bras designed for sloping shoulders, and the innovative clips that create the multiway. Black swimwear still dominates, but more colourful options are being introduced and the selection of large cup swimwear has definitely improved. We patiently wait for each new season's offerings - and there are occasional disappointments, but some fabulous advances in fabric and design too. The Brava buying team performs stock analysis which takes into consideration customer responses and ideas, staff members' experience of what works and what doesn't, and a bit of lingerie instinct. We love what we do and we hope that you can always sense this when visiting a Brava store.
